Q: When is “Fable Legends” going to be released?
A: We are happy to be able to announce that the game is in development, but we aren’t yet able to announce when “Fable Legends” will be available. The development team is hard at work building characters, creatures, quests, and everything we need to bring Albion back to life.

The multi player beta will start in Fall 2014, so be sure to sign up on www.fablelegends.com!

Q: What platforms will “Fable Legends” be available on?
A: “Fable Legends” will release on Xbox One.

Q: Is “Fable Legends” an MMORPG?
A: No. While “Fable Legends” embraces multiplayer, it’s not an MMO.

Q: Do I need to be familiar with Fable I, II, or III in order to play “Fable Legends”?
A: No. “Fable Legends” welcomes those visiting Albion for the first time. Those who have explored the land will find with new stories, secrets, and adventures.

Q: What is the setting for “Fable Legends”?
A: “Fable Legends” welcomes you back to the fantastic land of Albion, home to the previous Fable games. Lived out in an eternal “once upon a time,” Albion is a fairy tale world where history, legend, and folklore are practically the same thing. So it’s no surprise that millions of players have visited and adored its welcoming countryside. Albion is a place full of action, humour, and opportunity. Of course you’ll find monsters, villains, and even the occasional disaster, but you shouldn’t take any of it too seriously. Albion is a land of fun and light-hearted adventure for you to lose yourself in. Enjoy the shining green fields, the silly accents and the occasional proposition from an “attractive” villager.

Q: Can I play “Fable Legends” as a single player experience?
A: Yes. In “Fable Legends”, you can enjoy all of the game’s content in a single player experience.

Q: Can I play “Fable Legends” as a multiplayer experience?
A: Yes. You can play with other people in a four-player cooperative experience. Your party could be all human players, or a mix of players and AI-controlled Heroes. You can switch easily between single player and multiplayer styles of play whenever you decide, or when a friend signs on. During a quest, you can elect to battle a human or an AI Villain. As a Villain, you can challenge parties of human players, AI opponents, or mixed groups. After all, as a mastermind of evil, you’re ready to swat aside any adversaries.

Q: Who is the Hero in “Fable Legends”?
A: That’s for you to choose. “Fable Legends” takes you back to a time when Albion was teeming with Heroes, so there’s bound to be one for you. Fearless warriors. Cunning tricksters. Masters of Will. Paragons of virtue. Heartless mercenaries. Intoxicated brawlers. Chicken chasers. They’re all here, and many more besides.

When Albion is only just learning what a Hero can be, no would-be Hero can stand alone. It is important to consider the mix of Heroes you take with you on your next quest. Do you recruit the dashing swordsman? If you like your swordplay elegant and lightly powdered, you’ll have no trouble finding your prince charming. But if you’re more man-o-war than manicure, you’ll find grizzled archers and lone wolves forced to adapt to life with the pack. Of course, in this period of Albion’s history there is an abundance of magic. Some Heroes manipulate the world using the power of Will to make Albion a better place (or just fancy setting part of it on fire). You could round off your group with a stalwart defender, ready to lead from the front and better things into the ground. Heroes like these represent a small sample of what Albion has to offer you. Whichever Heroes you choose to bring along on your adventurer, you’ll need to work together and fight hard if you want to create a Legend.

Q: Can I customize my Hero in “Fable Legends”?
A: Yes. There are many you can make Heroes in “Fable Legends” your own. You’ll be able to customize Hero abilities, and make decisions about what they should specialise in as they grow in experience and power. Visually, you’ll be able to change several details of your Hero’s appearance by calling on the local hairdresser or magical make-up artist. Finally, your Hero may find new armours, weapons, and other treasures.

Q: How do I play as a Villain?
A: Playing as a Villain in “Fable Legends” combines elements of strategic decision making and tactical control. When those pitiful Heroes enter an area, you’ll get to choose which minions will be sent into battle and where to place these creatures to maximise their effectiveness. Once the fight begins, you can issue orders for your creatures to execute: telling them where to go, which Hero to attack, and which abilities to use to ensure your evil plans come to fruition.

Q: Will characters from previous Fable games appear in “Fable Legends”?
A: Because “Fable Legends” returns to Albion at a time period that’s different from previous titles, most of the characters from previous games will not be present. Of course, Albion is a magical place, and who knows what lurks out there amongst its forests, villages, and caverns…

Q: Is this “Fable 4?” If not, why not?
A: “Fable Legends” is being made with the Fable spirit firmly in mind. However, this is not a continuation of the previous Fable games, especially when it comes to the chronology. It’s a brand new series of adventures at the dawn of an age of Heroes. We hope you’ll enjoy the mix of new and old.

1) What graphics engine you are using?

2)The wheel of the expressions that had been eliminated in Fable 3 will return in Fable Legends?I hope so.

3)There is a main story or is just a collection of quests?

4)It is not a question but it would be nice to see you at work even on a new IP and Fable 4 ;)

Sounds good! I was a little skeptical from the trailer alone, as it looked a bit like a gimmicky WOW-style MMO, but after reading the thread I've been reassured. It's a shame it's going to be an Xbox One exclusive though, since I'm not planning on buying a next-gen console. Fingers crossed we get PC version some time after the console release!

Seriously, not happy that LH is not making a Fable 3 sequel. What about the Xbox One line-up?

Looks amazing Lionhead. The game play is inspired, really exciting playing as the villain and the heroes. Can't wait to have some mates over and essentially have Dungeons and Dragons nights through Fable! Can't wait guys! New IP coming up? Fable 4 in the next few years?

Ok, atleast some questions are answered for me. But I still have some questions/concerns:

Can you wander around? Like in fable 1. And can you wander around ALONE? Without the three others following you. If not, why not?

Also:

Can we buy houses? If not, why not?

Can we get married? If not, why not?

Can you freely walk as the villain? Go see the world etc. Or can you only command minions as the villain?

Why can't we just shape our hero to be a villain or hero like in Fable 1 and 2?

And: Why no Fable 4? :(

My guess is that too many people want different things for it. Better to stick with a general consensus, and get themselves firmly off the ground; they are working for themselves now after all.
LH, don't give up on Fable 4 though..there's at least one person that would be happy that you brought it out

Looking forward to Fable Legends!

Some potential questions for the FAQ:

1) How do the chickens factor into Fable Legends?
2) Will there be anything similar to the Fable II Web Games/Pub Games or Fable III Villager Creator for Fable Legends?

"What platforms will Fable Legends be available on?

Fable Legends will be available on Xbox One."

You should have listed this as the first question. Would've saved a few thousand people having to read the whole thing, they could have just discarded the topic straight away.

It looks really good and I'm excited. But my excitement is kind of taken down by the fact that you said there are no plans to release a sequel to Fable III…why? Lionhead made a perfect line up with having Gabriel as the new blind seer and the Spire destroyed. You can't just…leave us at that. Theresa said there was an evil coming, and the evil wasn't the Darkness because she didn't know the the Corruptor would be released in the first place. so there has to be more to the story…I'm just confused at this decision, and saddened.

I'm keeping an open mind. Sometimes change is necessary to keep things fresh. However I have to admit I'm baffled there are no plans for making a fable III sequel. Some of my favorite features have not been addressed so I'm curious.

1. Will there be moral choices in Fable Legends?

2. Will there be consequences for your choices?

3. Will your choices affect or morph your appearance?

These along with the world and a few features already mentioned are what have made me love this franchise. I'd be saddened to see them fall away. I look foward to see where this all goes.

At first I was a bit disappointed as multiplayer isn't really my mode of choice. Once I realised what they were proposing was basically a kind of Fable/Borderlands love child, and I can play with AI instead of needing 3 friends I like enough to share loot with, yeh - I'm interested!

I'm very sad to hear everyone saying Lionhead has said no Fable 4. Fable Legends looks good, but I was really hoping for a Fable 4. Wonder is they plan on just making basically spin offs of the Fable game using its title to catch attention but it not following a specific story arch. Just using familiar things from Fable and Albion legends and history.

It really does look good, which make it a crying shame that I'm never going to be able to play it unless it makes it's way onto a different platform. Which I don't ever see happening like it won't for Fable 2 and The Journey and wow that is upsetting in the extreme.

Don't wanna sound like I'm ungrateful to Lionhead and it's hard working team, but there's no way around it.

I'm actually really curious to how this game will turn out. It sounds great on paper, but I want to see some gameplay before I get too excited.

I'm sure that Fable IV will eventually happen. All they said is that they have no plans for it because they are mainly working on Fable Legends. Lionhead will probably start development for Fable IV after Fable Legends comes out, it's just not on their minds at the moment because of the development of Fable Legends.
